Redmi 13C Launch Confirmed by Xiaomi Sub-Brand
Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi, has officially confirmed the launch of the Redmi 13C through a series of teaser images. Although the exact launch date has not been shared, the teasers provide insights into the handset’s design and color options. The Redmi 13C is set to offer at least four finishes and is equipped with a centrally placed waterdrop-style notch for the selfie camera. This smartphone is anticipated to succeed the Redmi 12C, which was introduced in India in March of this year.
Colorful and Stylish Design
Redmi’s teasers showcase the Redmi 13C in four distinct colors: black, blue, light blue, and light green, all with curved screens. The phone features slim bezels on the sides and more substantial bezels on the top and bottom, accommodating the waterdrop notch. While the exact launch date and detailed specifications have yet to be revealed, the teasers hint at a fresh design and a range of vibrant color options.
Expected Features and Hardware
Based on previous leaks, the Redmi 13C is projected to run on Android 13 with MIUI 14.0.1. It is likely to sport a 6.74-inch IPS display with full-HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it may be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, combined with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Camera-wise, the Redmi 13C could house a triple rear camera setup, led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor, supported by an 8-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro lens. To keep the device running, it’s expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 18W wired charging support.
Successor to the Redmi 12C
The Redmi 13C is likely to be introduced as the successor to the Redmi 12C. The latter was launched in India in March, featuring a starting price of Rs. 8,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and Rs. 10,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model.
