Ponch: Vehicle Carrying Wedding Guests Plunges into River, Seven Injured
At least seven ‘Baratis’ (wedding guests) were injured after a vehicle they were on board fell into a river in the Mandi area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.
A Bolero vehicle bearing registration number JK12C 8618 fell into a river at Saujiyan Higher Secondary School, resulting in injuries to seven onboard passengers.
The persons injured in the incident have been identified as Mohammad Lateef (52), son of Ghulam Mohammad; Mohammad Azeem (42), son of Mohammad Hussain; Mohammad Afzal, daughter of Mohammad Din; Mohammad Qayoom (25), daughter of Mohammad Afzal; Gul Khan (52), son of Bashir Ahmad; Mohammad Ayoub (47) son of Munir Hussain and Sajjad Ahmed (22), son of Farooq Ahmad – all residents of Brari Saujiyan.
The injured persons have been shifted to SDH Mandi for immediate medical attention.
