Police solves theft case in Srinagar; accused arrested

Srinagar Police has solved a theft case by arresting accused person involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen cash from his possession.

On 12-02-2025, Police Station Soura received a written complaint from one person namely Ali Mohammad Mir resident of Nowshera, stating therein that an unknown thief barged into his cloth shop located in Nowshera and stole cash amounting to Rs ₹27,000.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 08/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Soura and investigation initiated.

After strenuous efforts, police team apprehended an accused person identified as Imran Hussain Sofi son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Khumeni chowk, Bemina Budgam within hours after the commission of crime.

Upon his disclosure, stolen cash amount of Rs ₹27,000 was also recovered.
