Police Seize Two Vehicles with Duplicate Registration Numbers in Jammu
JAMMU 02 JULY, 2024 :- Two commercial passenger vehicles bearing the same registration number plates were seized by the police on Tuesday. The vehicles, both cabs of the same color, were seized from the Jammu bus stand area following specific information.
Police Crackdown on Duplicate Vehicles
The bus stand police station received a tip-off that two identical vehicles with the same registration number (JK08D4356) were roaming around the general bus stand. A police team was rushed to the spot, and both vehicles were seized. The drivers of the vehicles were detained for questioning.
Investigation Underway
The police have launched an investigation into the matter to determine how the vehicles acquired duplicate registration numbers. The owners of the vehicles are being questioned, and the police are also checking if any other vehicles with duplicate registration numbers are operating in the area. The seizure of the vehicles is a significant crackdown on illegal activities in the region.
