The Congress has nominated Choudhary Lal Singh as its candidate from Udhampur. Lal Singh, who rejoined the Congress six years after resigning due to his involvement in a rally supporting the Kathua rape accused, has received support from the Peoples Democratic Party, a partner in the INDIA bloc. Udhampur is scheduled for voting in the first phase on April 19. In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the BJP secured three out of six seats in Jammu and Kashmir, with the National Conference winning the remaining three.

Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Rajasthan follows his recent public meeting in Karauli. In Barmer, the BJP has fielded sitting MP Kailash Choudhary against Congress’ Umaidaram Beniwal. In the reserved Scheduled Tribe constituency of Dausa, the BJP has nominated Kanhaiya Lal Meena, who faces competition from Congress’ Murari Lal Meena. BJP’s Jaskaur Meena emerged victorious in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls from Dausa.

Rajasthan, contributing 25 MPs to the Lok Sabha, will undergo polling in two phases on April 19 and 26, with the vote count scheduled for June 4. In the 2014 and 2019 elections, the BJP secured all 25 seats in the state.
