North East Express Train Derails in Bihar, Leaving Five Dead
A devastating incident occurred when the North East Express train derailed in Bihar, resulting in the tragic loss of at least five lives. The derailment took place near Raghunathpur station, located close to Buxar, around 9:35 pm. The train was en route from Anand Vihar Terminus in Delhi to Kamakhya near Guwahati in Assam.
In response to the tragedy, teams from the national and state disaster response forces have been dispatched to the site to assist in rescue and relief efforts. Hospitals in the area have been placed on high alert to provide medical assistance to those affected.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has taken swift action by contacting the Disaster Management Department, Health Department, and district officials in Buxar and Bhojpur to ensure that relief and rescue efforts are expedited.
