NIA Holds Raids at 19 Locations, Disrupts Jihadi Terror Group
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at 19 locations in South India, uncovering a “highly radicalized jihadi terror group” engaged in anti-India activities. The raids took place in close coordination with state police forces.
However, specific details about the exact locations and the jihadi group were not disclosed due to operational reasons.According to sources, the terror group has learned to plan attacks and recruit youths.
The raids come days after the NIA searched multiple locations in Bengaluru, Karnataka, related to the radicalization of prisoners by the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist organization. In that case, the NIA teams seized digital devices, incriminating documents, and cash amounting to ₹7.3 lakhs.
Three accused are currently absconding in the case, registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, and the Explosive Substances Act, 1884.
The recent raids in South India are part of a massive crackdown on terror networks, with the NIA also conducting raids in Delhi and three other states.
The raids have successfully dismantled the jihadi terror group, according to official sources.
