The Mughal Road, linking Kashmir Valley’s Shopian district with the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch, has been reopened following a temporary closure caused by recent snowfall, officials announced on Monday.

Fresh snowfall, notably at key points along the road such as ‘Pir Ki Gali,’ had forced the closure of the route on December 16. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) PC Surankote, Hamid Ali Bandey, confirmed the reopening of the road.
