Motorola’s much-anticipated smartphone, the Edge 50 Pro, is poised for its launch in India, with the company revealing the design, color options, and key specifications beforehand. The device is slated to feature AI-backed functionalities and will be up for grabs via Flipkart. The launch date for the Edge 50 Pro has now been officially announced by Motorola India.

Motorola India has confirmed via its X handle (formerly Twitter) that the Edge 50 Pro will hit the Indian market on April 3. Consumers can expect to find it on Flipkart, the official Motorola website, and other retail outlets.
Design and Display
The Edge 50 Pro will be available in three distinct color variants: black, purple, and a unique cream and grey patterned option. The device will flaunt a 6.67-inch 1.5K curved pOLED display, featuring a high 144Hz refresh rate, 2,000 nits peak brightness, HDR10+, and 100 percent DCI-P3 Color Gamut. Moreover, SGS-certified blue light protection ensures eye comfort during extended usage.
Camera Capabilities & Advanced Features
Equipped with a centred hole-punch slot for the front camera, the Edge 50 Pro will sport a sophisticated triple rear camera system, led by an AI-backed 50-megapixel primary sensor. To enhance security, an in-display fingerprint sensor will be incorporated into the device.
Motorola has ensured that the display and camera of the Edge 50 Pro are Pantone Validated, promising users a lifelike color experience and accurate depiction of skin tones. Additionally, Generative AI theming features will enable users to create unique wallpapers.
Performance and Battery
Under the hood, the Edge 50 Pro will be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, delivering robust performance. Reports suggest it will pack 12GB of RAM and a sizable 4,500mAh battery, with support for rapid 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, ensuring prolonged usage without frequent recharging.
