Mishap on Bandra-Worli Sea Link: 3 Dead, 6 Injured
In a severe accident on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, three individuals lost their lives and six others suffered injuries when a speeding Toyota Innova crashed into multiple vehicles. The incident has left two of the injured in critical condition.
Chaos on the Sea Link
The chain of collisions began when the Innova collided with a Mercedes Benz. The Innova driver, attempting to flee the initial crash site, continued at high speed towards the toll booth where the vehicle struck several more, resulting in nine casualties, later revised to three fatalities.
Ongoing Treatment and Investigation
Six individuals, including the Innova’s driver, are receiving medical attention, with two facing serious injuries. The accident involved a total of six vehicles, not counting the Innova. At the time of the accident, there were seven occupants in the Innova, including the driver.
Legal Proceedings Initiated
Authorities are in the process of registering a case against the Innova driver based on preliminary findings. Deputy Commissioner of Police Krishnakant Upadhyay confirmed that further investigations are in progress to determine the full scope of the incident and the sequence of events leading to this tragedy.
