- Special Forces to conduct operations based on precise intelligence.
The Army has significantly bolstered its presence in the Jammu region, deploying between 3,500 and 4,000 soldiers to target terrorists believed to be hiding in the area’s dense forests and natural caves.
This strategic move is aimed at flushing out militants who have reportedly converted these caves into hideouts.
In addition to the large number of regular troops, approximately 500 Special Forces para commandos have been positioned in areas identified as high-risk zones where terrorists are suspected to be operating.
To enhance the effectiveness of the operations, the military has also introduced a fleet of bullet-proof vehicles. A total of 37 Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) have been strategically relocated to various locations across the region to respond swiftly to any terrorist activity.
The ongoing efforts are further supported by additional troops being deployed to the hilly terrains where foreign terrorists are believed to be concealing themselves in the forests.
The coordinated efforts involve not just the Army but also paramilitary forces and local police, working together to conduct surprise operations aimed at neutralizing the threat.
The Special Forces will focus on precise, intelligence-driven operations, especially in areas where encounters with terrorists are expected.
Officials are optimistic that this surge in troop deployment and enhanced operational strategies will lead to the effective elimination of terrorists from the region.
