Man Arrested Under Public Safety Act in J-k for Continued Unlawful Activities
A man has been placed under the rigorous Public Safety Act due to his purported engagement in unlawful activities that presented a threat to peace and order in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, as announced by the Police.
As per the police report, Mohammad Azam, a resident of Pukharni in the Nowshera sub-division, was promptly confined to the Rajouri district jail following his apprehension by the police. The detention order for Azam was authorized by the Rajouri District Magistrate, based on a comprehensive report submitted by the district police office.
The police further conveyed in a statement that the accused, Azam, had multiple criminal cases registered against him at the Nowshera police station spanning the years 2013 to 2021. Despite facing charges in numerous First Information Reports (FIRs), Azam allegedly persisted in his unlawful activities, thereby posing an ongoing threat to peace and order in the region.
