The “Tech Accord to Combat Deceptive Use of AI in 2024 Elections” was announced at the Munich Security Conference. The rise of AI-generated fake images, audio, and videos has raised concerns about their potential use to mislead voters in upcoming elections worldwide.

Commitments to Address AI-Enabled Election Misinformation

In response to the risks associated with AI-generated election content, the consortium pledged to leverage technology to identify and mitigate deception.
