Major Administrative Shake-Up in J-k: Key Officials Take on New Responsibilities
The General Administration Department (Services), Civil Secretariat, Jammu, has issued a government order detailing transfers and postings across Jammu and Kashmir to enhance the efficiency of the region’s administration.
Alok Kumar, IRS 1990, currently serving as Principal Secretary to Government, School Education Department, with additional responsibilities in Higher Education, Civil Aviation, and Estates Departments, and as Civil Aviation Commissioner, is reassigned as Principal Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department. He will also handle the Administrative Secretary role for the Estates Department until further notice.
Suresh Kumar Gupta, IFS 1991, Director of Social Forestry, J&K, concurrently holding the additional charge of MD, State Forest Corporation, is appointed as Principal Secretary to the Government, Culture Department.
Shailendra Kumar, IAS 1995, currently Principal Secretary to the Government, Public Works (R&B) Department, with an additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, is transferred to the role of Principal Secretary to the Government, Agriculture Production Department.
Mandeep Kaur, IAS 2004, Secretary to Government, Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, concurrently holding an additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department, is transferred to the position of Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Housing & Urban Development Department.
Vikramjit Singh, IPS 2004, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Industries and Commerce Department, is assigned the additional responsibility of Administrative Secretary, Mining Department.
Yasha Mudgul, IAS 2007, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Cooperatives Department, with an additional charge in ARI & Trainings Department and Mission Director, Holistic Agriculture Development Plan, is transferred to the role of Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Tourism Department. She will continue overseeing the Mission Director, Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP).
Dr. Rashmi Singh, IAS 2007, Commissioner, State Taxes, J&K, concurrently holding additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Mining Department, is appointed as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Hospitality and Protocol Department. Additionally, she will act as Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi.
Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, IAS:2009, Administrative Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department, with an additional charge of Chief Executive Officer, Mission Youth, is reassigned as Administrative Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.
Prasanana Ramaswamy G, IAS:2010, Administrative Secretary, Transport Department, is transferred to Administrative Secretary, Revenue Department. He will also take on the role of Commissioner, Survey & Land Records (ex-officio Settlement Commissioner), J&K.
Niraj Kumar, IAS:2010, Additional Resident Commissioner and ex-officio Secretary, Resident Commission, J&K, New Delhi, is shifted to Administrative Secretary, Transport Department.
Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, IAS:2010, Commissioner, Survey & Land Records (ex-officio Settlement Commissioner), J&K, is reassigned as Administrative Secretary, Labour & Employment Department. Additionally, he will handle Administrative Secretary roles in the Skill Development Department and Chief Executive Officer, Mission Youth.
Talat Parvez Rohella, IAS:2010, Administrative Secretary, Hospitality & Protocol Department, is transferred to the position of Commissioner of Enquiries.
Rehana Batul, IAS:2010, Administrative Secretary, Labour and Employment Department, concurrently holding an additional charge of Secretary to the Government, Public Grievances and Labour Commissioner, J&K, is moved to Administrative Secretary, Information Department, relieving Ms. Prerna Puri, IAS, of the additional charge.
Bhupinder Kumar, IAS:2011, Administrative Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, is reassigned as Administrative Secretary, Public Works (R&B) Department.
Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, IAS:2012, Administrative Secretary, Tourism Department, concurrently holding additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Culture Department, and Chief Executive Officer, J&K ERA, is transferred to Administrative Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department.
Piyush Singla, IAS:2012, Administrative Secretary, Revenue Department, concurrently holding additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development, and Monitoring Department, is moved to Administrative Secretary, School Education Department.
Mohammad Aijaz, IAS:2012, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, is transferred to Administrative Secretary, Planning Development and Monitoring Department. He will also handle the Administrative Secretary role in the Civil Aviation Department.
Shiv Anant Tayal, IAS:2012, Managing Director, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited, is reassigned as Administrative Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department.
Vikas Kundal, IAS:2013, Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, is moved to the position of Managing Director, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited.
Syed Sehrish Asgar, IAS:2013, Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, is transferred to Administrative Secretary, Public Grievances. She will also take on the role of Chief Executive Officer, J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency.
Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, IAS:2013, Commissioner, Relief, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction, is reassigned as Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K.
Shakeel-ul-Rehman Rather, IAS:2013, Commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration, J&K, is transferred to the position of Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora. Rahul Sharma, IAS:2013, Transport Commissioner, J&K, is reassigned as Member, Special Tribunal, J&K.
Nazim Zai Khan, IAS:2013, Administrative Secretary, Department of Disaster Management, is transferred to Commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration, J&K.
Mohammad Akbar Wani, IAS:2013, Registrar, Cooperative Societies, J&K, is moved to the position of Director, Social Welfare, Kashmir.
