The Directorate of School Education has given approval for the creation of a Draft Committee aimed at laying the groundwork for the establishment of a Madrasa Board in the Union Territory.

Comprising esteemed officers and officials, the Draft Committee has been assigned the responsibility of developing a thorough proposal for the establishment of the Madrasa Board in Jammu and Kashmir. The committee members include Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Bhat, Principal of HSS Nowgam, Bandipora; Dr. Shakeel Ahmad Khan, Senior Lecturer at BHSS Zadibal, Srinagar; Mohammad Shafi Wani, Senior Lecturer at BHSS Mujgund, Srinagar; and Nazir Ahmad Motta, Coordinator (in-charge of Madrassas) at CEW, DSEK.

The Committee is scheduled to assemble at the Directorate from January 3rd to January 7th, 2024. Their primary objective is to formulate a comprehensive draft proposal, which is slated to be presented to the Director of School Education Kashmir on or before January 10th, 2024.
