Love Conquers All: CPAA & Miraj Cinemas Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Cancer Warriors
Mumbai, February 14, 2025: Love and strength took center stage at Miraj IMAX Wadala, where Miraj Cinemas and the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) came together for a truly special Valentine’s Day celebration on Feb 13. Themed “Love in the Time of Pain,” the event was a touching tribute to over 100 couples bravely navigating the challenges of cancer, giving them a chance to cherish and celebrate their love amidst their journey. For these couples, love is not just about happy moments—it’s about standing by each other through life’s toughest times.
Their journey is filled with struggles, but their love remains unshaken, giving them the courage to fight daily. This celebration wasn’t just about Valentine’s Day; it was about honouring their resilience, their companionship, and the unwavering support they share.
Adding warmth to the event were Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Neetu Chandra, Vardhan Puri, and Kaveri Kapur, who spent quality time with the couples, making them feel special. Vardhan Puri and Kaveri Kapur, known for their roles in ‘Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story’, brought an extra dose of joy to the evening.
Mohini Sharma, Founder of Mrs India INC, and Anuradha Garg, Mrs India Globe, also graced the event and extended their support. The celebration included a special screening of ‘Loveyapa’, a film about love and togetherness, giving couples a much-needed break from their daily struggles. It was a night filled with laughter, heartfelt conversations, music, and a grand cake-cutting ceremony, making it a memorable experience for all.
Amit Sharma, MD, Miraj Entertainment Limited, shared his thoughts: “At Miraj Cinemas, we believe movies do more than just entertain—they bring people closer, touch hearts, and create lasting memories. Hosting these strong and loving couples is our way of showing appreciation for their courage. ‘Loveyapa’ is all about love, and we hope this screening brought them joy and comfort. A heartfelt thanks to our esteemed guests, whose presence and kindness added to the love and joy shared.”
He also acknowledged CPAA’s leadership, including Y. K. Sapru, Founder Chairman, Alka Sapru Bisen, Chief Executive Officer (CEO); and Anita Peter, Executive Director, Advocacy and Cancer Support.
This event was a beautiful reminder that love stays strong, even in the hardest times. The smiles, the hugs, and the shared moments of happiness proved that love truly has the power to heal. Miraj Cinemas and CPAA were honoured to be part of this celebration, bringing hope and joy to those who need it most.
