    During the inauguration of the girl’s Balamadira building in Gadag, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah asserted the government’s firm stance against corruption.

    He assured that investigations would be conducted and necessary actions taken if any cases of corruption were identified.Addressing concerns about buses in need of repair within the KSRTC and allegations of bribery, Siddaramaiah referenced ongoing investigations into previous government corruption cases. He pledged to take action against those found guilty, including officials involved in demanding bribes from drivers.

    Regarding the caste census report, Siddaramaiah urged against prematurely dismissing it as unscientific before its submission. He emphasized waiting for the report’s release and criticized making speculations without understanding its content. Dismissing claims of project funding shortages, he affirmed that adequate funds were allocated.

    Highlighting financial achievements, the Chief Minister stated his government’s substantial spending of over Rs 73,928 crore on development, surpassing the previous administration’s expenditure. He reiterated his commitment to fulfilling promises, with the initiation of the fifth guarantee scheduled for January.

    In light of the emergence of a new COVID variant, Siddaramaiah informed about the Health Minister convening a meeting to discuss precautionary measures. Addressing a case of assault on women in Belagavi, he expressed confidence in the police’s investigative capabilities and assured fair investigations, even considering involving external organizations if necessary.

    Regarding interest waivers on loan principals, Siddaramaiah mentioned that departments of higher education and primary education were formulating a plan to address this issue. The government is actively working on a solution.
