JK Delegation Led by Bashir Ahmad Ahangar met parliamentarians in Dehli
DELHI 02 JULY 2024 :- A delegation from Jammu and Kashmir led by senior politician Bashir Ahmad Ahangar met newly elected parliament members at Birla Line Lodhi Estate in New Delhi on July 2. The delegation discussed various issues faced by the general public of Jammu and Kashmir and demanded that the core issues be discussed in the ongoing parliament session.
Core Issues of Jammu and Kashmir
The delegation demanded the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir as per the parliament statement of the BJP government. Bashir Ahmad Ahangar highlighted the issues of new guidelines for pensioners, including old age, widows, disabled, and others.
He also raised concerns about unemployment among youth, DRDO contractuals, SBM, tribal welfare, and compensation for tribal families uprooted in Kathua and Ramban districts and other areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
Demands and Observations
Bashir Ahmad Ahangar shared his observations during his recent tour across the length and breadth of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He demanded a cold storage facility in every district of Kashmir for fruit preservation. The delegation also included Peer Mehboob Ali, Durga Nath Bhat, Javaid Ahmad Rather, and others.
The parliamentarians assured the delegation that they would raise these issues in the parliament and work towards finding solutions. The delegation’s efforts aim to ensure the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and resolve the long-standing issues faced by the region.
