The Srinagar-Jammu national highway is set to witness a temporary suspension of traffic starting tomorrow morning until Wednesday morning due to ongoing road widening efforts, as per officials on Monday.

In a communication posted on X, the deputy commissioner of Ramban announced a 24-hour traffic halt, beginning from 8 am on Tuesday until 8 am on Wednesday. Commuters are strongly advised to refrain from traveling on the highway during this specified period.

In adherence to safety protocols, a 24-hour traffic suspension is scheduled for Jammu-Srinagar NH-44 on 06.02.2024 (Tuesday) from 8 AM to 07.02.2024 (Wednesday) 8 AM to facilitate road widening at Kishtwari Pathar & Dhalwas. It is emphasized for individuals to avoid undertaking journeys during this timeframe in the interest of safety. Please plan your travels judiciously, keeping safety as the top priority,” he conveyed.
