Jammu, 28.07.2024 : In a significant crackdown on criminal activities, the Jammu police have successfully apprehended a notorious criminal who had been evading arrest for the past four years. The accused, identified as Mil Ram Sahu, son of Hira Ram Sahu and resident of Chamru Para Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, was involved in a cheating case registered under FIR No. 34/2020.
The case was filed under sections 420 (cheating) and 409 (criminal breach of trust) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The police team from Police Station Kanachak, acting on the directives of their superiors, executed a well-coordinated operation to bring the long-evading criminal to justice. The team, led by PSI Baljeet Singh Parihar and SgCT Sanjay Sharma, was formed by SHO Kanachak under the command of SDPO Domana and the overall supervision of SP Rural.
The operation to apprehend the accused was meticulously planned, utilizing both human intelligence and technical support.
The breakthrough came when the police team tracked Mil Ram Sahu to Hyderabad, Telangana. With precise coordination and strategic planning, the team successfully apprehended the accused and brought him back to Jammu.
The arrest marks a significant achievement for the Jammu police in their ongoing efforts to combat crime and ensure the safety and security of residents.
The accused is currently in police custody, and the investigation into the case is ongoing. The Jammu police have reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order and taking stringent action against those involved in criminal activities.
