    On Wednesday, the inaugural group of Agniveers from the Jammu and Kashmir valley officially became part of the Indian Army. The noteworthy passing out parade for these Agniveers took place at the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regiments (JAKLI) center in Srinagar on Tuesday.

    These young Agniveers were selected for this honor through the Army Recruitment Office (ARO) in Srinagar, and their commencement ceremony was marked with grandeur and pride. Notably, their parents also graced the occasion with their presence.

    The Chinar Corps of the Army, based in Srinagar, shared this momentous event with the world, stating, “The passing out parade for the first batch of Agniveers from Kashmir to join the esteemed ranks of the Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry Regiments of the Indian Army was conducted at the JAKLI Regimental Centre in Srinagar on October 3, 2023. These dedicated Agniveers, recruited through ARO Srinagar, completed their training in a magnificent ceremony, attended by their proud parents.
