Israeli Regulator Considers Penalties for TV Channel Over Netanyahu Remarks
Israel’s Second Authority for Radio and Television is conducting an inquiry into Channel 13 following comments by commentator Gil Tamari criticizing Netanyahu’s stance on the Hamas deal.
Tamari’s statement, suggesting Netanyahu wants hostages dead for his own reasons, has triggered the inquiry, which may result in a financial penalty on the grounds of potentially harming public sentiment, according to Haaretz.
