Infinix is gearing up to introduce the Smart 8 HD in India, succeeding its previous model, the Infinix Smart 7 HD, which was launched earlier in April this year. The upcoming launch, scheduled for December 8, promises to bring significant enhancements over its predecessor, marking another entry into the budget smartphone segment.

Key Features and Design Unveiled

The Infinix Smart 8 HD is set to arrive in four vibrant color options: Crystal Green, Galaxy White, Shiny Gold, and Timber Black. Its design includes a dual rear camera setup with an LED flash, all housed within a rectangular camera module positioned on the top left corner of the back panel. Additionally, the phone boasts a textured rear panel for a comfortable grip. The front camera is neatly accommodated in a centre-aligned hole-punch cutout on the display.

Display and Storage Specifications

Infinix has confirmed that the Smart 8 HD will feature a 6.6-inch HD+ Sunlight Readable display, offering a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness level of 500 nits. This enhancement in the display is tailored to provide an improved viewing experience. The handset will support USB Type-C connectivity and will come with UFS 2.2 inbuilt storage. A notable upgrade is the introduction of a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a first in its price segment.

Pricing and Comparison with Infinix Smart 7 HD

While the price of the Smart 8 HD has not yet been disclosed, it follows the Smart 7 HD, which is priced at Rs. 5,999 for the 2GB + 64GB variant. The Smart 7 HD is available in Ink Black, Jade White, and Silk Black, featuring a 6.6-inch 60Hz full-HD+ display. It includes an 8-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel front camera.
