GRSE and Rolls-Royce Partner for ‘Make in India’ Initiative
Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) and Rolls-Royce have inked an agreement to collaborate on the licence production and localization of MTU IMO Tier II compliant Series 4000 marine engines.
This joint effort aligns with the ‘Make in India’ initiative and holds significant market potential for naval projects.
The engines will be manufactured at GRSE’s Diesel Engine Plant in Ranchi, benefiting fast patrol vessels, interceptor boats, and fast attack craft projects of the Indian Navy and Coast Guard.
The agreement covers assembly, testing, sales, and after-sales services within India.
