Deadly Explosion Targets PTI Rally in Balochistan’s Sibi
Tragedy struck in Balochistan’s Sibi as an explosion, the nature of which is yet to be determined, targeted a rally organized by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Three people have lost their lives, and five others are injured, with three in critical condition. The incident occurred on Jinnah Road, raising concerns about the security situation in the province.
The blast comes just eight days ahead of the February 8 general elections, prompting heightened security measures.
PTI Balochistan’s spokesperson confirmed the death of three party workers, emphasizing that the attack aimed to discourage the provincial government from holding the elections.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has sought a report from the provincial police chief in the wake of this tragic event.
