Govt Announces Summer Vacations for Degree Colleges in Jammu and Kashmir Image/Zayyra

Jammu, May 30, 2025: The Higher Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir has officially announced the summer vacation schedule for all Government Degree Colleges across the Union Territory.

According to Government Order No: 261-JK(HE) of 2025, issued on May 30, 2025, the vacations will vary based on the geographical zones and divisions.

As per the directive:

All Government Degree Colleges of Jammu Division (Summer Zone) will observe summer vacations from 1st June 2025 to 15th July 2025.

All Government Degree Colleges of Jammu Division (Winter Zone) will have summer vacations from 15th July 2025 to 24th July 2025.

All Government Degree Colleges of Kashmir Division will also observe vacations during the same period — from 15th July 2025 to 24th July 2025.

The order was issued by Shantmanu, IAS, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) of the Higher Education Department, and communicated to relevant administrative departments, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, Director Colleges, Principals, and Registrar offices.
