Government Official Suspended Over Assault on Young Men in Madhya Pradesh
In a shocking incident in Madhya Pradesh’s Umaria, Bandhavgarh SDM Amit Singh, along with tehsildar Vinod Kumar and the SDM’s driver Narendra Das Panika, has been accused of ordering and overseeing the assault of two young men for overtaking their vehicle. A case has been filed against the accused, and Singh has been suspended. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav condemned the incident, stating that such inhuman treatment of citizens would not be tolerated.
SDM Denies Charges, Claims to Be Helping Victims
A video circulating online captures the incident, showing two vehicles involved in the assault. Prakash Dahiya and Shivam Yadav, the victims, were reportedly thrashed for overtaking the vehicle with an SDM sticker. SDM Amit Singh denies the charges, asserting that he was trying to help the victims being attacked.
