Good News For Aspirants: JK Govt relaxes upper age limit for competitive exams

Jammu Kashmir Govt has notified the relaxation of upper age limit for various competitive exams for different categories. In an order, issued on Saturday, Jammu Kashmir administration has relaxed the upper age limit to 35 years for the candidates falling in open merit, of which, the earlier age limit was 30 years, whereas the candidates falling in reserved categories, the upper age limit has been relaxed to 37 years, and the candidates with disability, it would remain 38, as per order, a copy of which is available to VoM also.

This move is being termed as the biggest move, as the aspirants were heavily pushing on the demand of relaxation in upper age limits for different setups. The aspirants were seeking this, and had put a demand to chief Minister Omar Abdullah also through social media platforms.

As the ruling National Conference, the majority seats winner party of Jammu Kashmir assembly elections 2024, in its election manifesto had stated of the relaxation of the upper age limit, which has been fulfilled.

National conference took to micro blogging platform X, and posted regarding this development, reads as, “As promised in our Manifesto, JKNC government prescribes revised upper age limit for Jammu & Kashmir Combined Competitive Examination. We wish all the candidates good luck with their preparations!”
