Four Locals arrested at Srinagar Airport for Possessing Fake Air Tickets
Security officials at Srinagar International Airport detained four individuals on Saturday for possessing counterfeit air tickets, according to sources.
The apprehended individuals, all locals, were found with tampered air tickets at Srinagar Airport. Subsequently, they were handed over to the local police station for further investigation. The suspects were identified as Mohammad Ashraf Sheikh, residing in Baghiyas Chattabal Srinagar; Junaid Ahmad Bhat from Utterosoo Nejigund Anantnag; Aaqib Mushtaq from Lal Bazar Srinagar; and Sakir Mushtaq from Eidgah, Srinagar.
An official confirmed the detention and revealed that the four individuals had gained entry to the airport using forged tickets. Preliminary investigations indicated that their motive was to bid farewell to their parents, who were departing for Umrah from the airport. The official stated that the matter is currently under thorough investigation.
