    In the early hours between Monday and Tuesday, a four-storeyed mosque situated in the Saraf Kadal area of downtown Srinagar suffered damage due to a fire incident, as per officials.

    The fire was first reported at 1:04 AM, prompting the swift dispatch of fire tenders from Babademb, M R Gunj, and F&ES Headquarters to the scene.

    Emergency responders successfully brought the fire under control, and fortunately, no loss of life or casualties were reported as a result of the incident.

    However, the attic of the mosque did sustain damage from the fire, officials noted. The exact cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
