Engineer Rashid Attends Lok Sabha
Engineer Rashid, Member of Parliament from Baramulla, attended the proceedings of the Lok Sabha for the first time on Tuesday after being elected last year.
Sheikh Khursheed, MLA Langate and younger brother of Rashid, confirmed his attendance. “He was brought in custody from Tihar Jail this morning to attend the proceedings,” he said.
Rashid, who has been in custody since 2019 in connection with a case, was granted two-day custody parole by the Delhi High Court to attend the ongoing Budget Session of Parliament.
His bail plea remains in limbo due to jurisdictional issues. (KNO)
