Elon Musk Playfully Assumes Chief Trolling Officer Title on Twitter
Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest individual boasting a net worth of $251.3 billion, has once again stirred up online buzz by updating his Twitter (formerly X) bio to “chief trolling officer” and humorously setting his location as Trollheim.
This isn’t Musk’s first foray into attention-grabbing bio changes. In 2022, following his acquisition of Twitter, he playfully labeled himself “chief twit” and later humorously took on the role of “Twitter complaint hotline operator.” His bio updates continued in January 2023, initially stating “state-affiliated” and later amusingly declaring himself “state-affiliated media.”
Musk has actively contributed to reshaping the identity of the microblogging platform. Initiatives include the introduction of an $8 monthly membership, the implementation of gold and silver ticks for various account types, the reinstatement of controversial accounts, adjustments to content moderation policies, and other modifications aimed at enhancing user experience.
The most recent bio tweak on January 9 has garnered significant attention, amassing an impressive 26 million views, along with 88K likes and 1.2K comments. Musk’s playful engagement on Twitter continues to captivate the online community, adding an element of humor and intrigue to his social media presence.
