Earthquake Strikes Western Cuba

CUBA, JUNE 09, 2026 [VoM News]: A massive earthquake measuring 6.1 magnitude struck western Cuba on Monday, triggering panic and shaking several areas, according to media reports.

7.8 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Southern Philippines; Casualties Feared

The United States Geological Survey stated that the earthquake had a depth of around 10 kilometres and struck in waters west of the Cuban capital.

Tremors were felt across western Cuba, including in Pinar del Río province, reports said.

However, no immediate reports of infrastructure damage or casualties have been received.
