Despite its success, “Dunki” finds itself in a formidable face-off with the Prabhas-starrer “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,” which also premiered on December 22. Within three days of its release, “Salaar” reportedly grossed over ₹400 crore globally, securing a dominant position at the international box office. Variety’s recent report placed “Salaar” at the 3rd spot, with “Dunki” following closely in the 4th position during the pre-Christmas weekend.
