Doda Police Seized Matadoor For Overloading, FIR Registered

On the directions of SSP Doda Sh Sandeep Metha JKPS , a drive to curb the visible traffic violations was started in the Doda District. Accordingly, acting on the directions, today on 10.12.2024 during motor vehicle checking/regulation in Bhaderwah, a Matadoor bearing registration No Jk08B /3165 found overloaded by 14 passengers against seating capacity which was seized on the spot.
The Matadoor was driven by driver, namely Sahil Aryan S/o Ram prashad R/o Misrata Bhalra, in a rash and negligent manner , thus endangering the lives of the passengers. A case FIR No. 179/2024 under section 281, 125 BNS , 194(1) MV act registered at PS Bhaderwah and Investigation of the set into the motion.
SSP Doda has warned the drivers to desist from the violation of traffic rules else stringent action will be taken against the erring drivers which includes suspension of driving license, route permit besides registration of FIRs.
