Special Traffic Arrangements for Prime Minister Modi’s Visit
The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for Sunday, September 17, in light of the inauguration of YashoBhoomi, also known as the India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICEC), by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. YashoBhoomi, situated in Dwarka’s Sector 25, is one of the world’s largest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) facilities.
Special Traffic Arrangements
The Delhi Traffic Police will implement special traffic arrangements for the inauguration event. Commuters are advised to take alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.
Affected Route and Alternatives
- The route from NH-48 to Nirmal Dham Nala (UER-II) will be affected throughout the day on Sunday.
- Commuters traveling towards NH-48 from Najafgarh can use the Bijwasan Najafgarh Road.
- Those heading towards NH-48 via UER-II from Najafgarh/Dwarka can take a left turn from Dhulsiras Chowk towards Dwarka Sector 23 and use Road number 224.
- To reach Dwarka from Gurugram, commuters can take Dhulsiras Road towards Bamnoli Village and use Najafgarh Bijwasan road.
- Residents of Dwarka Sub-city and West Delhi can take Palam Flyover to reach their destinations.
Plan Ahead
To minimize travel disruptions, the general public is advised to plan their journeys in advance. The India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICEC) boasts world-class facilities, including a main auditorium accommodating 6,000 people and a grand ballroom with seating for 2,500 guests, making it a significant addition to Delhi’s event infrastructure.
