Delhi Schools to Reopen with Adjusted Timings Amidst Cold Weather
Delhi schools are set to reopen with physical classes, but the government has adjusted timings to address the severe cold. Schools cannot commence before 9:00 am, allowing students to avoid harsh early morning cold. No school will function beyond 5:00 pm, considering dropping temperatures in the evening. Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 3.5 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season’s average, prompting the government to implement anti-pollution measures classified under Stage-III of GRAP. The measures include halting stone crushers, mining activities, and imposing a strict ban on certain construction and demolition activities in the NCR.
