Delhi Jal Board Corruption Case: Delhi Based Court Grants Bail to AAP Leader Satyendar Jain

New Delhi, September 03, 2026 [VoM News]: In a major relief to AAP leader and former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain, a
delhi court on thursday granted bail in connection to a corruption case related to alleged irregularities in the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) tendering process, PTI reported.

The court has directed him to furnish a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh along with two sureties of the same amount.

Since August 19, Jain had been in 14-day judicial custody, and now the court has granted him the bail.

The case stems from a tender awarded to Euroteck Environmental Private Limited, when Satyinder Jain was as Delhi’s water minister.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau has alleged the manipulation of tender conditions, irregularities in the expansion of the Rohini sewage treatment plant and a cost escalation of around Rs 123 crore.
