Defence Minister Rajnath Singh arrived jammu
On Wednesday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Jammu and promptly proceeded to Rajouri to assess the situation following an anti-terror operation in the Rajouri-Poonch region. The visit comes in the aftermath of an ambush in Dera ki Gali, Rajouri district, which resulted in the tragic loss of four soldiers earlier this week.
According to an official statement, Rajnath Singh, accompanied by Army chief General Manoj Pande, touched down in Jammu this morning, where they were welcomed by Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha. Without delay, Singh, the Army chief, Lt Governor Sinha, and other high-ranking officials headed to Rajouri to evaluate the ongoing anti-terror operation and the overall security situation in the region.
