Deadly Gun Attack in Srinagar one dead,Another Injured
In an unfortunate incident, suspected militants targeted two individuals in the Karfali Mohalla ShalKadal area of Srinagar district on Wednesday evening, resulting in the death of one person and serious injuries to another.
According to a senior police official speaking to GNS, the assailants opened fire on the two individuals at close range this evening. Tragically, one of the victims lost their life on the spot, while the other has been promptly transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
In response to the incident, the entire vicinity has been cordoned off as authorities intensify efforts to apprehend the attackers.
Initial reports indicate that one of the victims has been identified as Amritpal Singh from Amritsar, while the identity of the second individual is yet to be confirmed. Both victims are reported to be non-locals.
