DC Doda Flags Off 45 Haj Pilgrims to Begin Sacred Journey
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Harvinder Singh, accompanied by SSP Doda Javaid Iqbal and ACR Doda Sunil Butyal, led the ceremonial send-off for 45 Haj pilgrims from Doda District. This marked the commencement of their pilgrimage to Mecca, a journey of deep spiritual significance.
District-wide Representation:
Among the pilgrims were 23 from Doda, 4 from Bhaderwah, 7 from Thathri, and 11 from Gandoh, showcasing a diverse representation of the district’s populace embarking on this sacred journey. The District Administration ensured meticulous arrangements and amenities for their safe and comfortable travel to Haj house Srinagar, from where they will depart for Saudi Arabia.
Community Unity and Blessings:
During the event, DC Doda expressed heartfelt congratulations to the pilgrims and extended his wishes for their safe journey. He urged them to pray for the peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir and the district. Emphasizing the significance of the Haj pilgrimage, he underscored the values of peace, unity, and brotherhood that it symbolizes.Interactions with the pilgrims were filled with well-wishes and prayers from representatives of the District Administration, Police, religious community, and well-wishers.
