An incident unfolded in the Qazigund area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, where a trooper from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) reportedly took his own life using his service rifle near the Jawhar tunnel.

The CRPF personnel was reportedly on duty near B-top in the Jawhar Tunnel vicinity when the tragic incident occurred.

the trooper succumbed to the self-inflicted gunshot wound on the spot.Following the incident, the deceased CRPF trooper’s body was promptly transferred to the hospital for postmortem examination and other necessary legal procedures.
