Concerns Raised Over Tagging Private Schools in Jammu and Kashmir on State Land
In a meeting of the Jammu Kashmir People’s Revolutionary Society (JKPRS), chaired by Mir Ghulam Rasool Batwinee, concerns were raised over the tagging of private schools constructed on State land during turmoil.
Private schools were established to provide education after many Government-run schools were torched, ensuring that parents, with limited budgets, could send their children to quality institutions.
The meeting emphasized the need to reconsider the decision of tagging these private schools with Government schools, highlighting the injustice to students, teaching staff, and the impact on education standards.
An appeal to Lt Governor Manoj Sinha was made to intervene and protect the future of children and unemployed youth.
