Chief Secretary Leads Approval of Key Agriculture Schemes for UT Development
Atal Dulloo, the Chief Secretary, presided over UT-level committee meetings today to review and approve the Annual Action Plans (AAP) for key Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) aimed at the development of Agriculture and Horticulture sectors in the UT.
In attendance were the Principal Secretary, APD, Principal Secretary, Finance, MD of HADP, Secretary of RDD, DG of Codes, DG of Resources, and Heads of the Agriculture Department, who also serve as the Mission Directors for these schemes in J&K.
The Chief Secretary emphasized the significance of these schemes, highlighting their role in improving overall crop productivity and quality, leading to substantial returns for farmers. He underscored the importance of timely interventions by the department to ensure the objectives are met within specified timeframes.
