CAT Jammu Directs Health Department to Address Service Regularization and Release Pending Salaries of PetitionersThe Jammu Bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), consisting of Justice Rajinder Singh Dogra and Mr. Ram Mohan Johri, has delivered its decision in the case filed by Dr. Abbas Ahmed and another petitioner.
In its ruling, the tribunal directed the Health and Medical Education Department to evaluate and resolve the applicants’ request for the regularization of their services.The tribunal emphasized that the applicants’ case should be assessed in alignment with the precedent set by the Madras High Court in the judgment titled Dr. R. Venkattaraman vs. State, dated November 9, 2022.
Additionally, the department has been instructed to clear the pending salaries of the applicants within eight weeks, provided their situation aligns with the criteria established in the aforementioned judgment.
