MLA Doda Mehraj Malik Meets CM Omar Abdullah; Submits Demand for Four Colleges In Doda and Highlights Key Issues
Mehraj Malik, Member of Legislative Assembly, from Doda East, met with Chief Minister of Jammu, Omar Abdullah and apprised him of the several issues. Mehraj submitted the demands which reflects the key concerns of the Chenab region. These include educational, employment, and infrastructural issues. The demands primarily focus on:
New Degree Colleges: Proposals for establishing four new degree colleges in Jakyas, Malanoo, Gundana Block, and Dali Udyanpur Block aim to enhance higher education access in this hilly region, addressing long-standing educational challenges.
NHM and NRHM Issues: Highlighting gaps in healthcare delivery under the National Health Mission (NHM) and National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), the demand seeks improvements in staffing, funding, and infrastructure to serve remote areas effectively.
Age Relaxation for JKSSB Posts: This demand addresses the aspirations of unemployed youth by seeking relaxation in the age limit for posts advertised by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB). This is particularly crucial for candidates from underprivileged or geographically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Electricity Issues in the Chenab Region: Persistent electricity shortages and infrastructure deficiencies in the Chenab valley have been a recurring problem. Ensuring stable power supply is vital for the region’s overall development.
