Brother-in-Law Murders Woman in JK
An elderly woman was allegedly killed by her brother-in-law in Akhnoor area of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
An official said that the woman identified as Vaishnu Devi (65), wife of the late Sh Shiv Ram Sharma of Bardal Khurd village.
The accused, Pooran Chand, son of Amar Nath and also a resident of Bardal Khurd village, as per police stands accused of crushing the woman to death with stone pelting.
Following the incident, the authorities have swiftly taken action, registering a case under FIR no. 72/2024.
The accused has been apprehended by the concerned police station, and further investigation into the matter is underway.
