Boat with Minors Sinks in Jhelum, Srinagar; Locals Seek Quick Rescue
Early this morning, a tragic incident occurred when a boat carrying several minors and locals from Gandbal to Batwara, Srinagar, capsized in the River Jhelum near the Batwara area of central Kashmir’s district Srinagar.
Residents from Batwara and Gandbal area reported that the boat, which was transporting local minors and other children, overturned, causing shock and distress throughout the community.
Despite an hour passing since the incident, locals are urging the SDRF and other authorities to launch a prompt rescue operation, as no rescue teams have been spotted yet.
