BJP to Hold Jammu Kashmir Govt Accountable in Assembly, Says Jitendra Singh
Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Saturday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will play the role of a “good opposition” in the budget session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, slated to commence on March 3.
Singh, while talking to reporters said, “We will play the role of a good opposition in the assembly. For the first time, we have come with such a big majority, and our vote share is better. Decisions will be taken in the interest of the people, following our nationalist ideology, and our MLAs are capable of presenting their issues with full preparation.”
Singh said that numerous employment opportunities have been created in the past 10 years, but their benefits are not reaching Jammu and Kashmir completely, as there is “no double engine system” here like in Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. “Our MLAs will also highlight this fact,” he added.
The J&K government will be held accountable for the work that falls under its responsibility and is not being implemented despite the support of the central government, Singh said. (KNO)
