Airtel Celebrates 5G-Anniversary in J-k, Unveils ‘5G Plus’ for Enhanced Digital Experience
Bharati Airtel, a prominent telecommunications provider, marked a significant achievement on Tuesday by commemorating the first anniversary of the introduction of 5G connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir.
As of October 1st, 2023, Airtel’s services are now operational across all states and union territories of India, boasting a customer base exceeding 50 million.According to a spokesperson from Airtel Airtel’s 5G network spans all 22 districts, serving approximately 1 million customers on its superfast 5G network. To celebrate this milestone and enhance the digital experience for its customers, Bharati Airtel has launched the special “5G Plus” service in select parts of Srinagar.

The spokesperson emphasized that the one-year journey since the launch of 5G connectivity in Kashmir is a testament to Bharati Airtel’s commitment to providing cutting-edge technology and seamless connectivity to the people of the region.
He stated, “The introduction of 5G has not only transformed communication but has also contributed to the overall technological advancement in the valley.”With the introduction of “5G Plus” in specific areas of Srinagar, Bharati Airtel aims to provide an even more enhanced and immersive 5G experience to its customers.
The spokesperson mentioned, “This special service is designed to cater to the growing demand for high-speed internet, low latency, and a more robust network, thereby enriching the digital lives of residents and businesses in the region.
Expressing excitement about the first anniversary of their 5G journey in Kashmir, the spokesperson announced the unveiling of the special 5G Plus service in parts of Srinagar, reaffirming their commitment to bringing the latest technology to their valued customers.
Airtel’s 5G connectivity extends to all key tourist locations and monuments in Jammu and Kashmir, including Dal Lake, Nishat Gardens, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg, Shri Amarnath Cave, Mughal Gardens, Shalimar Bagh, Bahu Fort, Jammu, Raghunath Temple, Jammu, Mansar Lake, and Patnitop.
The advantages of Airtel 5G Plus include ultra-fast speeds up to 20-30 times that of 4G, super-fast call connections, crystal-clear voice experiences, optimal high-definition video streaming, environmentally friendly attributes, and a seamless transition for users:
All customers with 5G-enabled mobile phones can effortlessly switch to Airtel 5G Plus. No SIM change is required; existing Airtel 4G SIMs are 5G-enabled, and existing 4G data plans will seamlessly operate on 5G until the complete rollout,” the spokesperson confirmed.
